Please see our links for lists of restaurants, hotels, activities and other fun things to do in town! Looking for something specific — like a Somali Restaurant, a Whiskey Bar or a Comedy Club? Check out ColumbusAlive for a comprehensive list of things to do, restaurants, bars and other fun stuff in CBus that we probably forgot to list! These are just our personal recs!
So, can I stay with you?
Unfortunately, we live in a teeny-tiny studio apartment and we just don’t have any spare room to give up! Plus, we’ll be preparing for a wedding, so we’ll be pretty busy and want our little piece of privacy to retreat to during this time (and during our Wedding night, of course)! Sorry! We really wish we could invite everyone to stay with us, hopefully one day soon we’ll have plenty of room to spare! Artist’s Commune, anyone?
So, where can I stay?
Columbus has TONS of hotels! Check out the links below! You can also check out Couch Surfing (if you’re comfortable with that option) because Columbus has some of the coolest, friendliest folks you’ll ever meet. We’d recommend staying in the neighborhoods of The Short North, Victorian Village, The Arena District, The University District, Campus, Clintonville, Grandview, German Village and Downtown if you want to stay local and be able to catch some public transport, too! The #2 Bus runs up and down High Street pretty regularly every day, so the closer you stay to High Street, the better your public transportation options will be! Columbus also has Uber, which is available pretty much 24/7 and we’ve never had any problems with it, but again, please use your own discretion! We don’t own a car, so unfortunately we won’t be able to drive anyone around!
